Many out of town patients who contact our office ask if the first new patient appointment can be conducted over the phone.
The short answer is, No.
It may be different at other centers. But, at my practice, I want to meet you and your spouse/partner to establish care. The follow-up appointment and certainly monitoring can be done at your home town practice.
For the first appointment, I would like an opportunity to understand your complete health history and interact with you. I will have questions. You will have questions.
Choosing a Fertility Doctor is a big decision and many who have traveled from out of town to my practice have chosen to do so for a myriad of reasons.

Part of the new patient appointment is to perform a transvaginal ultrasound to visualize your ovaries, lining, and uterus. I do this to properly evaluate and formalize YOUR SUCCESS PLAN. I will share with you what I am seeing or what I’m not seeing. If you know you need IVF, I understand. Let’s pause for a short time to make sure we can optimize your cycle.
