This week is National Infertility Awareness Week #NIAW. Today we are wearing orange to spread awareness about infertility.
The color orange has symbolized fertility since ancient times. It is created by combining red (love) and yellow (happiness)
The orange hue uplifting and a hopeful color.
It also stands out, which we feel is especially important since infertility is often a private disease.
Many struggle with infertility alone and in silence and we are working to amplify the conversation to be without shame and with greater compassion and empathy.
1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy. 1/3 is attributed to females, 1/3 is attributed to males and 1/3 is unexplained.
Many of you know that we have experienced loss personally. In fact, we have lost a baby three times. 8 weeks, 10 weeks, and 12 weeks. Help us change the conversation.
